My husband and I brought our two
teenagers to the Orlando convention over the weekend. We went
with the intention of getting their money back (yes, they
worked and paid for it themselves). I had been involved in the
business years ago (in Jacksonville) and saw so many scams. My
agent got me a lot of work, but it was non-paying ("It will
look good on your resume...the experience is good for you") I
also saw MANY people get work from the casting couch. I
finally quit and swore that even though I knew my children had
potential, they would never be a part of that.
Needless to say, when we got to Orlando on Saturday, the
atmosphere was so professional! Your staff was friendly and
polite, and we adored your CEO and Sharon "Magic" Jordan!
(Guys, keep lifting Him up and giving Him the glory!!!!) We
had so much peace about the whole morning that we told our
teens that they could stay if they wanted. Even though there
were so many people there and they knew that there was a
chance that they might not get chosen, they had a positive
attitude and were happy to have the experience.(by the way, my
14 year old son got 5 callbacks, and 3 final calls, and my 17
year old daughter got one. While she was waiting for her
brother, Karin Models, who did not originally call her, came
out from behind the table and asked if he could talk to her.
He brought her ahead of about 20 people standing in line and
looked through her portfolio, telling her he couldn't believe
she had never modeled before. She got a final call from him!)
You guys did everything you said you would do and we wish
you blessings in years to come!
God Bless America! Annmarie Benavidez, Jacksonville,
